My name is Derek Dols, and I’m an Emerson College ‘23 graduate with a BA in Media Arts Production! When I’m not at the movies, the gym, or with my tortoise Dash, I spend my free time watching and creating nonfiction stories, my lifelong passion that continues to shape my career:

• As an Unscripted TV Development Intern at Beyond Productions and Sizzle Reel Editor at Disco Ball Collective, I collaborated with experienced RTV professionals on ideation research, internet scouting, and editing concept teasers for pitch packages.

• I have also worked as the sole Casting Producer (71+ casted), Story Producer, and Video Editor for 12+ seasons of my online competition series, in both live and remote formats.

• Additionally my recent roles as a 1500 ESPN Producer / Board Operator at Hubbard Broadcasting, and Casting Coordinator / Video Editor / Segment Director for nonprofits Midwest Charity Trials and Live to Give MN, have provided much supplemental experience in honing these production skills.
